Home brand is just as good ! Use self raising tho and no baking powder , whole milk free range eggs raw sugar and then real butter in a cast iron skillet , cheap as chips and make thick fluffy scotch...

� ����yup livin the dream !! BTW you can buy a four bed nice house in a good area of Dunedin for $250 . It's cold in the winter but the summers are still fabulous and climate muchuch better than the uk ....

Yes I agree with what you say too !! There is a lot going for Christchurch , but you'd have to have been in love with the place before hand maybe to feel for the place as much as you do we moved here...

Funny that , we moved in 2007 also :) it is definitely an age thing tho and all those that moved then may find themselves with children who are getting into teenage years and if they don't move now...

Yes that's exactly right life is an adventure but always nice if there are something's you can make informed decisions about things . We don't regret any of it! And we moved from Devon !Go for it...

these sites are good for average expenses but don't take into account distances travelled since commuting has become more popular , cost of firewood for using fire 24 hrs a day !, lpg , road user...

hi , areas of choice are good , we live in Oxford which is a small rural town 45 mins north west of Christchurch. be warned Chch is still very much in the process of a rebuild following the earth...

yeah totally understand that , we actually looked at Canada years before we considered nz but it was so lengthy and drawn out and expensive we opted for nz instead so much easier . but now looking...

Beautiful ! . We love NZ but you need tone rich to enjoy it at its fullest ie . We can't afford a boat or to take the family skiing but we enjoy fishing and being in the country . I do wonder about...

Yes we had thought of that . As the rules stand at the moment you can't be out of NZ for more than five yrs ( have to have at least six months in NZ during that time ) or your residency expires !...

that are now stating that PR for a RN without a job offer is expected to be 6 months processing . Has just been updated a couple months ago . So I suppose just apply and sort out life when it comes...

On a lighter note. If you are looking for life experience and an adventure then come ! That's why we did it and we have enjoyed the ride and made many wonderful friends . But couldn't imagine staying...
