Re: Karma

I seem to remember the negative karma was disabled by Paul shortly after this feature was installed in the interests of promoting forum harmony. And it was a good call IMO.

Re: Router Help

STOP!

Guess you're using a combined modem and wi-fi/ethernet router? You need to check before you proceed. It's also best to replace it with two boxes: the modem and the wi-fi/ethernet router.

Re: Applying for citizenship currently separated N-400

Yep! I'd put married on the form, then explain the situation at the N400 interview. It could cause complications if you were married on the day of your interview but divorced on the day of the natz...

Re: Getting My Girlfriend Over

Probably not, I'm afraid. The visa denial will invalidate her current ESTA.

Did she apply for the B2 specifically as a previously cohabiting partner?

Re: US mortgage denied because of UK mortgages

The problem here is that the term a Wells Fargo mortgage is not as singular as it sounds. If you go to the bank and see the happy, smiling mortgage officer, she'll have a dozen or so plans to fit you...

Re: Moving to live in USA from UK?

Yes. You would need capital of $500k (in reality probably closer to $600k) to purchase that right, and you should assume that you will derive no interest from this investment and any principle you...

Re: EB1(c)

Always remember that the lawyer represents the company's interests, not yours. Often they coincide, but sometimes they don't.

Re: EB1(c)

The fact that he wrote the path was not well traveled was my overriding clue. Everyone and his uncle has done the L1->GC route.

Re: EB1(c)

I think from what he wrote that he's going straight for the iv. But I could be wrong.

Re: EB1(c)

I think most take the non-immigrant visa (niv) path rather than the immigrant one (iv) because that's their company's wish.

* The niv paperwork is reasonably quickly processed. With blanket...

Re: EB1(c)

Not necessarily. EB1 could also be an immigrant visa.

Re: Hello - B1/2 COS to E2 or L1 for cake decorating company?

It's not looking like an L1A, but an E2 with eventual residency through parental sponsorship is a viable plan. The tears come from his recklessness in cutting corners for instant gratification.

Re: Hello - B1/2 AOS to E2 or L1 for cake decorating company?

It's decidedly at the low end. But with a good and solid business plan, and an experienced and qualified US immigration attorney.....it may fly.

Re: Anti science legislation in Arizona

I'm not living with that claim. Evolution is a true scientific theory. Intelligent design is a hypothesis at best. You know, like the moon is made of cheese.

The teacher has no place in a science...

Re: Am I in fact eligible for VWP?

There's a number somewhere on this forum (can't be bothered to look) where you can call CBP and ask them to reset the blot on your record telling them that you made a mistake. Might work!

Re: The good old NHS.

It's not fitting any of my notions, or my reality. But then I'm only a dual UK/US citizen who's lived in the USA for the past dozen or so years. IMO, you're talking out of your backside.
