Re: Looking for fellow Brits in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas.

I'm down in Hampton Roads, not too far from Richmond, but we're moving this summer. Richmond is a great city. I know there are a few British Army officers at Fort Lee, which is nearby. One that I met...

Re: Got my N400 (Naturalisation) interview! What to expect?

Good luck! My interview was short and very matter of fact, no small talk at all. She did jokingly apologize for making me do the English language test, but it was all straight forward. You'll most...

Re: TSA PreCheck Experience

Yes my main reason for PRE over GE was the application time and local interview options. GE will be nice one day but I travel domestic twice a month and international maybe once a year.

TSA PreCheck Experience

I've started travelling a lot for work recently so decided it was time to get TSA PreCheck. The whole process was super easy so thought I'd share here in case anyone is wondering. You can apply...

Good luck! My estimated completion changed often, but it ultimately took less time than predicted.

Re: San Diego Living Advice

VA is ok, it's grown on me, but nobody would call it exciting (although northern VA does have Nando's)

Re: San Diego Living Advice

Thanks, we're really excited. We live in VA right now, so planning an epic road trip too, will have to make a separate post about that for advice. I've been once before and absolutely loved Balboa...

Re: San Diego Living Advice

Thanks! La Jolla or Coronado would be the dream but would also break the bank, especially as we have a big dog and want a house. North Park looks great.

Re: Mike95 - Upcoming GC Interview

One thing to consider is unlike enlisted, officers must be US Citizens, and US Citizens alone, to earn their commission. You'll need to be a citizen already and renounce any other citizenship to...

Re: N400 Interview and processing times

I had 3 guests with me at the federal courthouse for swearing in and it was packed, so I'm glad we got there earlier. The judge didn't like people standing in his courtroom, so everyone had to...

We flew our Labrador with Delta, it was into Minneapolis-St Paul, but that might be too cold this time of the year for Delta's restrictions. Could you consider flying somewhere warmer such as...

Re: Transit visa for Australian again

Also unlike most countries, departure gates in the US aren't separated by domestic or international, and domestic flights also use those gates for arrivals, so if you were switching between two...

Re: Returning to the US with an expired Green Card?

I'm not sure what good proof of the N-400 application would give you - as applying for Naturalization doesn't grant you any temporary rights while it's pending, you just remain a permanent resident....

Re: I-751 ROC Timeline

It's a long shot, but can't hurt to contact your local congressman / congresswoman, explain the situation, and see if they will consider fast tracking it for you?

Re: N400 Interview Scheduled, no mention of I-751
