It used to be true, but now current trends seem to be false.

I reached out to my attorney (friend, not using him anymore professionally since my case is a slam dunk), who shared some communique between him and the Vermont Service Center. Apparently they try and adjudicate the I-751's more quickly if a N400 decision is pending but there is no formality about this at all. Who knows if this is true/false, I mostly enjoy my attorney's (friend's) sense of humor.

I filed mine last week and got the conformation text last night - mine went to Nebraska (not sure if thats better or not) so don't give up hope

I turned up 30 minutes early to my biometrics appointment with USCIS as this office is small and usually crazy busy. Turned out that I was in and out in under 7 minutes. Best service I've received yet!

Since we can do it online now, can I assume payment via credit card is allowed?

So was that... Interesting. Obviously a small sample size here, but maybe clearing the way for the flood of N-400s?

Sure was! That would be my expectation too - they usually start hitting the N400s hard in an election year. The cynical part of me wonders if that will be the case this year though, what with the typical demographic off immigrants scewing against the incumbent President.

I didn't expect it to be this fast let alone get my new card within two days. Perhaps they are clearing the way for N400's. If that is the case, I'm hoping if I file in January it will have a quick enough turn around I can vote in this election!
