WA Police Ranks

Hi,

Can anyone explain the rank structure for constables in WA and are they acquired in recognition of years service or by exam?

I think the IEC for Canada is similar to that of a working holiday visa in other countries. You work to supplement your travelling.

From what i have read on here with other peoples experiences, WaPol are very strict on entry requirements and won't accept anyone with 10 years and 1 day in the job.

As i understand it, 5th year PC or First Class Constable have the opportunity to apply for promotion to Sergeant. Or continue to work as a first class Const for 4 years and attain rank of Senior...
