You don't need to get them notorised. You just need to get them certified. I took mine to a local solicitor sho did the lot for £5. All she did was check the copies against the originals then...

I just made an appointment with a local solicitor. She certified all my documents as true copies (stamp and signature on each document) - all for only £5. So make sure you don't get ripped off!

Definately worth sending all certificates and references of spouses education and employment. This will count towards the officer's assessment of how well you'll be able to settle in Canada.

We applied April 2004 and had AOR early June 2004. Might just hear something before Christmas, but not expecting anything until at least February.

I tried Steam Whistle beer while in Toronto on holiday this year. The brewery is opposite the CN Tower. Good strong flavour, not bland at all like some of the usual suspects.

Could you remortgage your house or take a loan out, then you would have the £10k or whatever in your bank account as proof of funds? Because I really don't want to sell until we are further along...
