Default Skilled worker application April 2004

Hi
I submitted my papers for a skilled worker application for myself, wife and daughter mid April to CIC London UK, still not heard anything.
.I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has submitted their paperwork at about the same time and if so have they heard anything yet. I thought it might be a good idea for people in the same boat to track progress. Let me know !!!
Still watching the post box every morning in eager anticipation

Takes up to 3 months to get AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) back from CIC. Small card letter with adhesive sticker showing your case number on it.

Best of luck.

Hi
I submitted my application on March, I'm in the same situation - wife and daughter, but I received an acknowlegment letter a week after submission. Now I am 3 months after that.
Important: I have applied in Warsaw.
Good luck

Applied on the 17th April, no response yet. Was couriered and signed-for.

Someone on one of the yahoo groups applied on April 3rd and got their AORs yesterday, so I guess we're expecting ours in about two weeks.

Cheers, Iain

Ordinary post....don't get too hyped up over it, honestly it's a disappointment otherwise.

Just feels nice to have it at hand and see that you have a file number working through the system - that the application hasn't just gone in the bin and that actually are you are 'in process'.

5 months for PR ? Are you sure this was for PR ? Sounds very unlikely ?

No it was definitley skilled worker class, the guy is a police officer not a brain surgeon or anything. So I guess they must be in demand at the moment !!! Perhaps I need a career change...

Shouldn't worry.

Our AOR took 10 weeks (early April to few days ago).

That was London.

Hi Davro,
We applied to the London office on March 30th. Still waiting for AOR. We read that it takes up to three months, so we're trying not to get too dissapointed before the end of June! Still eagerly waiting at the post box too...

I guess a lot of the timings depend on wether you get someone efficient dealing with the paperwork or a complete jobsworth!!!
