Re: Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

I did.

The gist of it seems to be... under Article 15 of law 37 (https://www.sef.pt/en/Documents/Lei_37_2006_Versao_EN.pdf) I have the right of free movement and should be able to work...

Re: Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

Thanks for the thoughtful and thorough response I really appreciate it.

I've spoken with a couple different immigration lawyers now, and tried to call the consulate (though they hung up on me no...

Re: Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

So given I have 8-12 weeks to get my affairs in order before my start date, do you think that's enough time?

Cool Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

I am on a very strict deadline to understand the feasibility of a move to Portugal. For reference, I have a job offer pending but they want me to be able to start within around 8-12 weeks, meaning I...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

I've adjusted the dates and am back to 463 points as expected.

I will provide a cover letter when I submit my application (assuming points ever go down to 463 again...).

Here's hoping that...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

"From July 29, 2013 until June 12, 2015 he worked in the Head Office located in London, Ontario. He then relocated to the UK where he worked remotely from home until November 6, 2015. "

London...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

Yes sorry it was actually the 29th of July, the Monday.

OK so I will adjust to August and take the hit on the points, if you are sure that is the best thing to do. Hard pill to swallow (though I...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

Just saw this.

I don't know... I feel uncomfortable putting the wrong dates in, as I feel they will flag that, but also uncomfortable telling the truth as it gives me undue points.

Is there any...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

This is what I am saying, I am not cheating the system, I have put in everything truthfully and don't know what to do. If I adjust the dates it will show less than 2 years, but I will be lying at...

Re: 2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

2 years of Canadian Work Experience Awarded Instead of 2

Hello all,

I completed my Express Entry profile today after finally getting back my common-law girlfriends ECA back. After submitting I realized I had 486 points instead of 463 (which the CRS...

Re: 2 years or 1 year of work experience?

Using my start date of employment of July 27 2013 and day of leaving Canada June 14 2015, that is a total of 98 weeks which is 6 weeks short of 24 months.

I actually continued working for the...

2 years or 1 year of work experience?

I have 23 months of skilled work experience in Canada, at 37.5hrs per week, up until now I have been calculating my CRS score using 1 year as strictly speaking, it isn't 2 years (albeit it, a month...

This is the first I've heard of this? My girlfriend is a flight attendant! How does that work?? Can anyone verify?

**EDIT**

I did some research and it seems as though you're right, news to me!...

Is it worth applying for PNP

I've seen just now that Ontario is looking for people with NOC 2147, such as myself, for their PNP program.

Thing is - I have to make an EE profile, which I am holding off doing until I finish my...

Re: Does my plan sound reasonable?

Yes I am completing the course full-time (6 modules in 12 months). Realistically I am aiming to get the ITA by around March 2020, which gives me 6 months after finishing my course to get the IELTS...

Re: Does my plan sound reasonable?

Hiya - thanks for the response :)

I haven't checked, but I doubt it will be higher as she has no professional work experience (cabin crew straight out of Uni), and has never worked in Canada....
