Re: Poor & disabled- any programs for my return?

Please don't let anyone tell you that you are burdensome, your life is very valuable and you deserve to be taken care of. You didn't ask to be disabled. Btw 65 isn't 'old' at all, you just need a...

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

I'm confused about the 'Visitors Visa'

Is there a form I fill in somewhere on the UKBA website? I think my wife will need the 'Family Visitor Visa' because we would be visiting my siblings in the...

WEBlue, thanx for taking the time to type out all that information out about the Surinder Singh route, I really appreciate it .

My other major problem is that I have really only...

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

So, it seems to me that it's unlikely that my wife will get a RR visa, which in turn limits me to returning by myself to the UK and establishing my self employment/sole proprietor business. In effect...

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

Thanx so much for your heartfelt response MrMuffin, it's a very distressful situation and if we both make it then the drinks are on me :D

Best of luck to you too! :fingerscrossed:

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

Thanx for the input WEBlue.

My wife does not have any ties to the UK whatsoever. One plan of action for me is to go to the UK, put down a £20.000 deposit on a house there, do whatever it takes to...

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

Yes the source is http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/settlement/returning-residents/

Yes, I am still currently with her in the US, it's going to be six years at the end of...

Re: Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

I had done some research on that but was unsure of her 'right' to RR even though way more than two tears had passed. Recently I came across another thread on another forum that 'seemed' to indicate...

Does my USC wife who used to hold ILR need a visa to return with me to the UK

Sometimes it's hard to 'title' a thread that is 'to the point'

Anyway my question is, does my USC wife who used to have an ILR visa in her passport and hasn't returned to the UK for six years...

Re: British citizen living abroad? Non-EEA spouse? This may affect you!

I think the multiple used for the shortfall is 2.5, not 2 right?

Re: Did you have to take a financial hit to return to the UK?

Well, I'm moving back in the next 2/3 years come hell or high water, (luv that saying!) I'm 58 and a UKC and my wife is 60 and a USC, but as far as I'm concerned whatever economical level of life I...

Re: British citizen living abroad? Non-EEA spouse? This may affect you!

When I said 'anyone' it clearly included non-EU, so I am aware that this is what you meant, however I don't see the difference, apparently you are against 'anyone' accessing the NHS that hasn't paid...

Re: British citizen living abroad? Non-EEA spouse? This may affect you!

You obviously know that they do vote for the party (Democrat/Republican) that they align with the most, but the voter also can't make the party they select, cherry pick the policies they want...

Re: How much money?

Actually since that last post of mine I decided to do something else. I am going to save around £20/£22.000, I will then look for a mortgage on a house of around £200.000. Last time I bought a house...

Re: How much money?

I was thinking around $50.000/£30.000. £9.000 for 6 months rent at £1.500 a month, buy a vehicle, most likely a pickup truck approximately £8.000 plus £1.000+ per month for food, petrol etc, and...

Re: Indefinite leave to remain visa in my wife's passport from 11/07/2006

Thanx JAJ & Bluegrass Lass. I searched the UKBA, however all I could find is regulations for settlement and visa's that are relevant to current applications. Do either of you know if there is...

Re: State that your stay is for 5 1/2 months at Heathrow?

Re: State that your stay is for 5 1/2 months at Heathrow?

Hmm. I think I either have to have £62,500 in a bank account 6 months prior to my wife applying for a spouse visa (I would be her sponsor) or a job that I have already been working at within the UK...

State that your stay is for 5 1/2 months at Heathrow?

I have a question about staying in the UK for 5 1/2 months. If I were to (as the UKC) go to England (I currently live in the US), start up a self employed business and then 2 months later my USC wife...

Hi MrMuffin, I have a feeling you are going to be highly disappointed. I have no anecdotal experience with this, but I have been diligently seeking a similar answer/question about self employment and...
