Re: British citizen living abroad? Non-EEA spouse? This may affect you!
Hi everyone,
I am a British citizen, my husband is a US citizen and our children are British citizens. We are planning to come back to the UK for a few years so I can complete some education and our children get to know their grandparents. Our plan is that I will be in full-time education for the first year and then I will get a job for the second year. My husband will not work as he will be looking after our young children full time.
Do we need to go down the 62.5k savings route for his visa or is there another route for us (other than moving to an EU country for 6 months SS route).
Many thanks in advance

As I understand it, unless your husband also has some EU ancestry that would qualify him for citizenship of an EU country, the savings route is pretty much your only option.
