hi laraibadil,

My understanding is that for 489, you get a whopping 10 points for being sponsored by the state. However, the trade-off is that you have to stay and work in Regional WA for 2 years....

I have done the following so far:-

1. Lodge EOI's on 189 and 190 visas (WA)

2. Undergo a skill assessment by EA (Positive)

3. Lodge an application for state sponsorship onto the WA gov

My migration skill assessment resulted in a positive outcome yesterday. The letter coming from the professional body arrived earlier than expected.

Further to my earlier post, I have called the WA State Government on the state sponsorship criteria on the 190 visa. They are still sorting this out and we can see the criteria online in early July....
