Thanks for this. I have wondered if this is the best approach but I just can't afford the time to deal with this now because of the quarantine rules in Hungary and the UK.

Here's the rub...I was issued with both a registration card and an address card although I don't have the latter. It was sent by recorded delivery when I was out of Hungary...

Coincidentally I am in the UK at the moment and having a new condenser boiler fitted, albeit in a house. The cost of this is around £1,800 including labour of £630 and VAT so much, much less than...

I am told though that a flue needs to be lined to the roof and I'm on the first floor out of four. It's an old building so the ceilings are very high.

Just want to say thanks for your help szeged....I managed to register and everything worked perfectly. The immigration people were friendly and helpful and gave me the card without much difficulty....
