Hi Kirsty, what would you estimate the time to be for a sole use of a 20 foot container going from London Uk to Toronto? They are collecting next Monday and Tuesday :)

Re: Help urgent PR passport info - landing with children

I think they just want our money here in the UK. I was very clear that they had valid UK passports and their Canadian Citizenship cards. He couldn't tell me why I needed them, just that I did!

Re: Interim Health Care in Ontario for 3 months when landing?

I agree Bex, I rang them today and when I said I was emigrating they said they couldn't insure me. I went with downunder's emigration policy, 307.50 for our family of 4.

Re: Interim Health Care in Ontario for 3 months when landing?

You do need to wait. I have an ohip card but it is a right by residence so I'm just like anyone else. Just got a quote from downunder insurance as well for only £300. Will compare and let you know!

Re: Interim Health Care in Ontario for 3 months when landing?

Seems so expensive, £560 for 3 months for a family of 4. Think I just begrudge paying anything as I'm a returning citizen!

Re: Moving to Toronto April..help!

I agree, we have rented in the area we hope to buy in as the last thing we want to do is change our daughter's school twice. Good luck with the house hunt :)

Re: Moving to Toronto April..help!

I believe it is all ontario schools that are phasing in full time Kindergarten but other areas could have it all implemented. Good idea to double check.
