Hi, moving to edmonton in around 6 weeks with hubby to be,4 month old and 21 month old. H2b got a job but i'n staying at home with kids, just wondering what opportunities there are for me to meet people.If there are playgroups and something similar??

I was looking for similar in Toronto Kerry. I googled it and did find quite a few in Toronto, I'm sure it will be similar in Edmonton

I live in Toronto and go to lots of free drop in playgroups through the Ontario Early Years centres. Not sure if same thing in Alberta. Also try the www.meetup.com website and look for Edmonton Mums groups as they will organise meet ups in your area.

Shame u not moving to toronto as I have a 4 month old and 20 month old!

I'm in Etobicoke which is west of Toronto although still on the subway line. We are near Royal York subway station. There are lots of playgroups in this area. Have been in TO nearly 4 years now - both boys born here so Canadians.

Oh yes very stressful, trying to sell house and everything in it, prepare for move, look after 2 little ones and plan a wedding in October. All good fun might be grey by the wedding
