Might be age related? I think our youngest, who was under 2 when we arrived, was free and our other child was half the adult price (or something along these lines anyway).
I remember being pleasantly surprised at the time I got the quote.

We emigrated to Ontario just under a year ago and used travelinsurance.co.uk cost us £167 for family of 4. Backpacker Bronze cover for 3 months - they included kids under 18 free.

Hope this helps and good luck

I would be careful of using this type of insurance. Having just made 2 claims on travel insurance, (one for medical and one for mislaying something) when you make the claim you must provide the insurer with the ORIGINAL flight ticket/booking document and you MUST provide proof of your flights out of and return back to the UK. This would obviously be difficult if you have emigrated! It sounded good and a very good price when I just did a quote for myself but I'm not sure they'd pay out of you ever had to claim as it's the wrong type of insurance, it's holiday insurance not medical insurance.

I agree Bex, I rang them today and when I said I was emigrating they said they couldn't insure me. I went with downunder's emigration policy, 307.50 for our family of 4.
