It heats our room up very nicely, one of the best things we have purchased so far and no as expensive to run as our electric heating.

So what are you saying, you shouldn't have a portable gas fire...

Mine isn't a portable gas fire. It's a fire in a fireplace on mains gas

I love my gas fire, but can only have it on during the evening, as we have a toddler. We have used aircon heat today and have been fine

yes we have turned the meter off and that seems ok. I don't think there is anything else we can do... other than pay it or freeze

We have 4 radiators, but are only using 3 at the moment as one is broken. We have electric heaters in the bathrooms, but only use them for a short time when my little boy has a bath.

We haven't...

I'm not sure, but we seem to be spending more on gas and electric here than we did on a much larger property in England, with heating on all day in the winter. I don't think our water bills are that...

Our combi boiler is gas, so we can't change that. We cannot use portable gas heaters due to having a toddler. So I guess we will just have to see how this month goes and take it from their.

Hi,

no I'm not sure why it is so expensive either. We have been using oil filled radiators for heat when needed and putting the gas fire on when our toddler has gone to bed. We are going to try it...

Very true, but we haven't in the 8 years we have owned this property and I don't know of anyone else locally, connected to a different supply who has either.

I would still rather have to rely on...

Has anyone found the money they are paying for electric has gone up since they changed to the night and day tariff with Iberdrola?

We changed in October and our bills have increased by quite alot....

I live in Villamartin, Orihuela Costa and we have mains gas. Well it's stored in a large tank at the end of the road and piped in. We do not have to get bottled gas. Though I know some people nearby...
