Ref 'shocked' - I thought only detail of worldwide Income would be needed - is detail of Capital also required or is it simply any income from it?

Mid 2020 I was caught out by Covid and stranded whilst in UK.
I registered on the system in Portugal beginning 2020 all had gone well.
No problems LogIn to the AT...

Age Restriction - Car Insurance.

Scenario,

Person Registers - has Sterling.- presently at a lousy rate.

Rents for a year - Sterling rises magically 10%

Converts to Euros - buys property = 10% benefit/gain from Registration...

I think you are right neither can I - if a currency was not originally purchased while Resident in Portugal - but it is a fact that any gain is stated as being at time a currency...

My income is from two UK based pensions- my wife and I are considering a property purchase in Portugal.

Obviously RNH is an 'attraction' - without it - if on the Portuguese system...
