You will get a lot more for your money there, Peregian Springs is huge, plenty to rent on there, Peregian beach is a great spot too..

We found it very rough tbh.. schooling up to grade 7 was ok but High school was not pleasant... plenty of bullies to do the rounds and some other unpleasant nasties that 13 year olds really...

Totally agree on SB High... pulled my daughter out after 4 months and sent her to GSLC.. Hated St Andrews too.. which is where they went when we first arrived 6 years ago... big carpet and big...

We moved from Australia to Canada in Jan, really for the same reasons as you, being a little closer to family has made a massive difference, had 2 visits already and 6 more planned before...

We have just moved to Oakville 3 weeks ago, managed to get 2 cars insured one a 2002 Freelander the other 2009 Dodge Nitro for $2100... the company gave us a 6star rating as we took our tenants...

So we are currently in the UK for a few weeks having left Australia behind for our new life in Canada....
We fly out in 2 weeks and I have spent the whole day trying to open a bank account..

We did ours last year and sat the test 6 weeks before we were eligable to apply, we had a 13 week wait before we could get a booking for the test it just meant we had everything ready to go.... ...
