Thanks for post, yes aware that this would delay EI and think that's fair and obv hoping to be back working before that would kick in anyway. Just looking to see if advantageous from tax...

Think there is a way that employer pays direct into the RRSP as a retiring allowance as opposed to me doing afterwards... Have to do a bit more reading I think.

Thanks for responding.... In ON they have to pay within 7 days or on next pay date whichever is later. The remaining owed is after negotiation so took a bit of time.

No RRSP currently so yes...

Yeah I downgraded for the summer but with my team (Everton) on TSN2 on sat and then today's games I added it back. An extra $35 a month for that channel and the sportsnet ones.

Yeah bein sports carried a few games last year though not many. Unless you're interested in all championship games and not just the team you support its hardly worth the $15 a month.

Yeah about that - I think we pay about $130 for cable, phone and internet.

Less than that, its 10 days as minimum under employment standards act, a number of companies will start you at 3 weeks...

I agree nowhere near the value it was last year.

Problem is that Everton seem to be on SNW 1-2 times a month and i'd gladly pay the $20 for that alone.

dad4geer in terms of PL football there is more here than in the UK as there are no 3pm blackouts here and you'll typically have a choice of 2-3 of those games as well as all of those that are on TV...
