Husbands place of work is Spruce Street off Notredame which is near downtown but he'll have a car. Yes we are going to contact some realtors and arrange viewings for when he's over there next month...

Can anyone give us a starting point when it comes to searching for a place to rent when we arrive in Winnipeg this July.

I have posted a few threads about the more serious issues of moving to Winnipeg but now to the real day to day stuff!!

I've heard mixed about downtown the Canadian websites are saying its all ok there now but i thinki'd steer clear as i've read things about high crime rates and gangs etc??Dont know which to believe...

Thanks for that, the family thing is obviosly a concern but like you say i guess we'll appreciate them more!Luckily for us my hubbys brother, his wife and 4 kids are emmigrating to Canada next month...
