Re: Residency before 31st December question

Thanks to bobd22 (again) for posting the message from the UK Embassy on Facebook. The new residency document sounds like just what we need. I have been in touch with our Spanish lawyer and he's...

Thanks for the link bobd22. I'll make an enquiry. I'm also contacting our solicitor this week and see if he can shed any light. Thanks to everyone for their replies and suggestions.

Thanks for your response, much appreciated. When you say "ask the embassy", is that the Spanish embassy in London or the UK embassy in Spain?

Re: Recommendations for android tv box

We use an Amazon Fire stick. But you MUST have a VPN or smart DNS in order to convince the BBC and ITV that you're in the UK and not in Spain. If you search this forum for VPN and/or smart DNS then...

Re: Iberdrola Elec Emergency Service

No. Never had a problem apart from the smart meter conking out. We get the occasional village-wide power cut but have never bothered to phone up and report it. They never tend to last longer than...

Re: Iberdrola Elec Emergency Service

The charge has been on our bills as far back as 2014. Don't have any earlier to hand to check. Early bills had the charge as €1.99, it is currently €2.04.

Re: Iberdrola Elec Emergency Service

Not sure if it was classified as an emergency but last year we got an electricity bill that said we hadn't used any electricity. When I checked the smart meter online, it had stopped recording any...

Re: Electrician - UK to SPAIN

When we bought our house in 2012, it needed rewiring. We used a British electrician but the work had to be certified and signed off by a Spanish electrician when he had finished. We were then issued...

Re: If I switch from Movistar to Vodafone, can I retain my existing phone number

Thanks for the reassurances about switching. I'm not quite as apprehensive as I was about undertaking this change.

If I switch from Movistar to Vodafone, can I retain my existing phone numbers?

I've searched for this on the Spain forum and found only one post from 2008 saying you can retain your Telefonica number if you switch to another supplier. Does anyone have a more recent experience...

Returning a rented phone to Movistar

I have only just realised that we have been renting a landline handset from Movistar (previously Telefonica) for several years at an extortionate cost of €6.61 plus VAT = €8.00 per month. We've never...
