We were advised by Immigration Attorney that we qualify and can do it for a min of $100k investment.

Has anyone here applied for this?

I am considering it and would love to ask a few questions.

i haven't tested it yet but I understand that Nintendo DS games will work but Wii games wont. I plan to buy the cheapest Wii game around and try it out for myself.

No prob, you can buy a pack of 3 adapters in Argos or somewhere like that for about €10.

The other voltage converter is more expensive. I spent about US$120 on 2 of them online. But they work...

We got 3 or 4 quotes and found Careline the best value, moving from Dublin to Toronto in Feb.

Insurance is expensive though.

We used BlueCross and found them quite reasonable and good to deal with. We had one GP visit during thre 3 months and there was no problem claiming the cost back.

I was told that around Burlington, the property tax is based on the aggregate of the houses in the area, so if you live in a modest bungalo but all your neighbours demolished...

Are there any clawbacks or exemptions or just a stratght extra 13%?

13% is a LOT of extra money to pay for a new house. What's the logic? Are the property taxes the same for 2 identical houses...
