I happen to know that Midland (based in Nova Scotia) are so desperate for drivers they are changing their truck fleet to rigid vans with standard brake so they can employ foreign workers on a normal...

The main reasons for Canmore and Banff are 2. One is my hubbie is a ski instructor and we want to go down the seasonal work route. And two is I have lost all confidence in myself as an employable...

And yes we are in Canada at the mo but the other side of the country, NS. So no chance of a recee visit, we shall just be taking a chance, a big chance!

We are planning to move to either Canmore or Banff next spring, however we are a little worried about the lack of accommodation. We like the idea of hopefully lots of low wage jobs available...

Its a different cold here. I too feel the cold badly but here I dont seem to have a problem unless it goes below - 12 then its brrrr for me. Its a dry cold and so much more pleasent than a damp cold....

Well the exchange rate here in Canada from Uk pounds to Canadian $ is much better than in the uk by quiet a lot, so when my kids and friends come I get them to bring the english cash and i change it...

medical req 23rd March,
medical done 30th March
medical rec at CIC 5th April
PPR 3rd May (will be going to Embassy tomorrow)

Just to let you all know we got our PPR today, exactly 6 months bar 1 day from when we submitted our paperwork to London and 4 weeks from when our medicals arrived in London.......now for a little...

Well he got there but they wouldnt let him see anyone, so all he could do was to fill out a query form and leave his passports...

We are in the same boat 99. We had our medicals done on 30th March this year and they got to CIC on 5th April. We are intending to fly out 18-21st June (12 weeks after CIC recieved our medical) but...
