Get a Spanish lessons CD and everytime you're out in the car put it on. With traffic in the UK you could fit in a few hours of lessons everyday there!

That area will be approx 10 degrees hotter than coastal areas in the summer and 10 degrees colder in the winter.
I'm not sure, but I think there are only a few roads from there to the coast. I know...

DON'T buy a property.
Take a 3 month rental as you may find you want/need to move to another property/location.
Unless you are accustomed to living in the sticks don't be tempted to go inland...
