My experience is completely the oposite (at least in 2004 when I got my PR)... when June 31 is near, DIMIA would start granting more visas to make sure they use up all the quota for that year.

To maintain the australian PR, you will have to live here 2 out of every 5 years.

Hi Scotlady,

Bear in mind that in Australia the same requirement applies. You need to stay 2 out of every 5 years to maintain your PR, unless you become a citizen of course.

Yes, I applied to Victoria and got a nomination within 6 weeks of applying. This was with the help of an agent and with a skills assessment in hand so don´t really know if that...

I´m originally from Venezuela where there is now a law that prevents credit cards to receive charges in foreign currency.

Glad that CBA and HSBC offer credit card, but do they...
