Re: 2 Caixa bank questions

Success! I realised what was stopping the transfer. I was filling the Caixa transfer form in incorrectly by using my name as the beneficiary when I should have been using Wise Europe.
Thanks again...

Re: 2 Caixa bank questions

Yes.
I've only very recently downloaded the Caixabanksign app. Although I've had confirmation it's operational I think it may be a security issue. I've emailed Caixa to try to get to the bottom of...

Re: 2 Caixa bank questions

I sold a 3 storey town house with high ceilings and the stairs were becoming a problem, otherwise I wouldn't have sold.
I still have an apartment with a lift at the beach so still able to visit.

2 Caixa bank questions

1) I've been receiving interest on my Caixa bank current account for the last few months. I can find no reference to receiving interest on current account balances on the website so have no idea why....

Re: la Caixa - going downhill fast

For the amount they charge they should give you a good service. I tried to transfer via their app some money to local business but couldn't make a successful transaction. Gave up and used my Wise...

Re: Buying a property in Spain

Be as sure as you can be that the property is right for you. Combined buying and selling costs come in at around 20%, so an expensive mistake if you find the property is not for you. Do your research...

Re: Sabadell now charging to receive payment from UK

I have a transferwise account that I use for currency transfers. I looked into direct debits for my Spanish bills. I wished to set up a recurring monthly payment from my UK bank to my transferwise...

Re: Liability for Community's illegal build

I agree.
I would have thought that the seller and or your solicitor would have a duty of care towards you to disclose or carry out a search to ascertain if there were any problems. That would...

Re: Roof terrace

If he is a reliable and well thought of local builder I would contact him and get him to have a look to establish the fault.
I don't know Spanish law but 9 years seems quite a long time to me to...

I shall probably wait for the Oxford vaccine as that...

Re: Corona virus

Possibly not but it does put the number of covid deaths in perspective, something that seems to have been ignored by the press.
Smoking and Obesity are not illnesses but lifestyle choices and...

Interestingly In the last couple of months over twice the number of deaths in the UK have been flu related when compared with Covid deaths. Why are the papers not scaremongering over that...

Re: Masks - Change of rules in Valencia

I only wear a mask where it is compulsory. I'm not really convinced of their effectiveness especially in open areas. Then we have the problem of disposal. I have seen masks discarded by the roadside...
