Thanks for that - I need to decide the best course of action, just file NRL1 now and await response from HMRC, contact them by phone first to advise of the situation, or consult a tax solicitor in UK.

Yes I have been declaring the UK rental income on my US filing, completing FBAR etc so everything is in order this side of the pond - it’s just the NRL1 that I haven’t completed.

I am a British Citizen, and yes precisely that - if there is no record of me leaving I was worried for residency / tax purposes.

At Frankfurt I used my US passport at ticket check-in and my UK...

Both my Wife and my initial notifications said 12 months. Her process beginning to end was 6 months (applied November 2017) and mine is 5 months.

I can give you an idea of our timeline - we are in CT, my wife submitted N400 in November 2017, had biometrics in December and has her interview tomorrow in Latham NY.

You do not need AP if your L1 / L2 is still current. However.. our immigration attorney still applied for it anyway when filing for our GC's.

We travelled in and out of the country just fine...

As has been said, you need to get used to the concept that banks are stuck in a time warp here. No direct debit, electronic online transfers to someone else's account etc. Get used to writing checks...

L1 & L2 renewal - how many MRV receipts?

I made an appointment on the phone today with the London US Embassy for me and my wife's L1A and L2 visa renewals.

They sent me an email confirming they had debited $380 for both renewal...
