When you get on the site, just choose the province you want, then city and various categories come up. Look under Housing, House Rental - I just looked under Edmonton and there are loads.

Nova Scotia is fab!

Have a look at the Community Identified Stream. Might be worth meeting up with someone from the RDA when you over there. Nova Scotia is definitely looking for immigrants.

We had a look at rental properties on Kijiji.ca . Saw one we liked, Phoned and went to see on the Monday, the landlord liked us, we signed a lease agreement and we were in the next day. One months...

We opened a bank account with Royal Bank of Canada from the UK - you can only use to deposit. Once you are there and have an address (rental whatever), you get your cards etc.
