I came back in April and it took much longer to sort out benefits. 8 - 9 weeks for the child benefit and child tax credit.

We arrived in Manchester safely on time as orginally booked. The flight was full of people who had previous flights delayed.

I'm due to fly out on Friday, and rang US Airways to see, who told me that if the airports were to open everyone would go on their scheduled flights.:fingerscrossed:

I wonder how much airfares...

True about the traffic. It is pretty awful here in Austin Texas. There seem to be far more accidents than there were back home.....and the roads are straighter here!!!!!

We too are moving from Texas back to the UK. So far I haven't found any info and have mailed three boxes via USPS and it has cost over $200. I was planning taking extra cases and paying baggage...

Just to update you all, I sent off 3 renewals on Feb 25, CC charged Mar 11, passports received Mar 17. Less than 4 weeks in total, a record so far!!!!

Thanks, Goatherder. My bank is a Texan bank, not a national bank. Maybe that is why they charged so much. I will look into it. Guess I am just pleased that my card was charged. I sent my renewals...

Apparently the 10% charge is an international visa charge. I used my visa debit card so I don't know that is why. Either way I don't care as long as I get my passports in time.
