Yeah I joined a few groups on meetup before we got here, I'm keeping my eye out for any close by..... With only being here for 3 days I'm not overly confident about venturing too far from the hotel...

Thank for the info.

I will be driving so I do have that option, but it's always nice to be close by to places, as at the moment I walk most places, but not sure that's as much an option...

Thank you for the replies...... Husbands work is Douglas glen area I think so not central Calgary. Think he would be happy with a 30 to 40 min commute so these areas look promising.

Thanks for that, it answers my concerns really, as our little one is only 8 months and so I feel I need a community based area as my way in to meet people etc, and hopefully build myself a social...

We think we like the look of mckenzie lake area, looks very family friendly and close to work, he might even be able to get the bus which we never even thought about?!?

We go on holiday in a few weeks and Jess has her own seat, the cost was not that different!
