I only just saw this message. I used to live just over the border in Mexico - spent some time in Chetumal - but mostly in Cancun.

Visited Belize City and my impression was that it is a much poorer...

We have a bunch of free digital channels here some of which are broadcast in HD format. Just stick an aerial in the back and see what you pick up.

Took mine in Lewisville, TX in June 2009. I'm also a Hertz #1 Gold member and just showed them the parper work I had. You need the basic legal insurance only.

I lived in Mexico for 5 years until mid 2009.
I always felt much safer in many parts of Mexico than I ever did in most US cities.
I guess if you're involved in the drugs trade, it could be a little...

We are just down the road from you in Grapevine, near Grapevine Mills mall. It was a long drive down there - the unit where they were located is now empty. As far I know they haven't opened up...

The Indian food is surprisingly good in Dallas. Some almost tastes like real (British) Indian food ;). Lots of good places for thai too.

I lived in Mexico for the best part of 5 years on my H1B. So no issues there.
Once you get a GC however the rules are completely different.
