Not at all...if it were a problem abcess it would be continually there...mine just flared up as the nerve died off, therefore once the rubbish was out, it just had little bits that lumped up as it...

It's probably just a swelling then, due to some rubbish trapped under the tooth...I had tthe same and they told me a nerve was dying. Take Ibuprofen for the pain, and either cut the lump with a knife...
