I can validate uptil march 2010. As I am already in aus, the time period given is not 12 months. I think the ppl who r not is aus, are given longer time frame to validate.

Pre grant letter is issued to the people who applied as an offshore candidate while they are staying in australia (on some other visa) like me. I was asked to go offshore in order to get the Visa...

Yes.. I got call from my agent and she sent me the pre grant letter.Now i have to go offshore to have visa evidencing. It was really a long wait for me...but good news is I got it:))

Yes Dorothy is right. As per my agent's information, these checks are expected to be longer bcz of the situation in Pakistan. Many ppl on higher priority list are also waiting since last year.

Yes I have submitted my medicals in November 2008 and PCC in April 2009 as per my agent instructions... It seems a lonngggggg waittttt... my status is still the same for the last 4...

Yes you can call DIAC, they can provide you information regarding your query about CSL but it is better to ask your agent to get information for you.

When I talked to DIAC for information on my case (I just called them twice in the whole process)the lady said that it takes minimum 6 months for the routine checks and especially for HR country it...

I can see the skill shortage list in all states frm DEEWR link is almost the same. 2126-11 mech engr is rated as statewide shortage ccupation ... does it mean that it has most chances to be included...

I can imagine your situation. I am also in the same state. I also applied thru an agent, and I am waiting as per his advice:) On the better side, Hope it wont be long as you have already got a CO.
