i-601 under review/travel to USA?

Is it possible to legaly travel to USA on VWP if i am in process of i-601, is it worth tapping in the info to ESTA ?

maybe i didnt explain myself correctly, i sent in the i-601 and they sent me a letter back stating all i have left to do is send in two formsg-325. and a statement of rehabilitation/reformation,

i-601 returned

long story short, married to a US citizen for three years, overstayed, applied for CR 1 visa. had interview nov 5th london ,denied, sent in i-601 , and it was returned friday, everything was ok, but...
