case transferred

Hi all,
Just wondering, my case was at California, and just got a notice to say it has been transferred to Texas. Is this unusual? I just always see people at vermont or california. got me worried maybe something is wrong with our case.
and we sent the I-130 us citizen filing for alien spouse, and are pending the NOA2.

Huge congrats, gnasher12.
Our I-130 is still in Texas. Sadly, we expect the holidays getting in the way of processing. But maybe we'll get lucky, too, and they'll finish us up in a few more weeks.

Hopefully Clemato you will hear something, I kept logging into USCIS, and could see they 'touched or updated' our case several times in the past two weeks before receiving the approval letter, that could be an indicator for you as well. I'm not sure.

I just looked back at your old posts and you say that they're at TSC, but I wonder if you meant they were mailed to the Texas Lockbox (correct). That is just a receiving address and your petitions should be at California or more likely for you (from memory) Vermont.
The holidays shouldn't impact USCIS processing at all. There is only 2 holidays (Xmas day & New Year) and people dont' generally take extra time off over this period.
Chin up!

i think im in the same boat, our i-130 petition was being dealt with in california, then we were told it had been sent to texas, we called to ask f that meant the time frame would start over ,they said no, but gave no explanation for the change from cali to TX

Are you sure your petitions are in the Texas Service Center? Do you have a case number that starts with three letters? If so, which ones?

Positive. A receipt letter received for our I-130 and I-129F, both, November 4 2010 that the case transferred from CALI Service Center to Texas Service Center. They provided the TX street address, not a lockbox, not a PO box either.
To gnasher12 - thank you thank you thank you for that commenting regarding multiple updates you received. We were both on a huge high yesterday naively thinking the case was closed and approved ... unfortunately the updates we got just meant that they did "something". But we now know to expect that this is normal, we'll get some updates, though no change in status each time, and will be positive about it. Some movement is good, right?
And again, as a recap: I am US born US citizen and currently in the USA, my huz
is UK born UK citizen and currently in England. Married July in Scotland. Submitted the form I-130 to Chigago lock box in August, they then moved us to the California Service Center, upon receipt ofthe 797 form, we sent in our form I-129F to California Service Center. In November they transferred our case to the Texas Service Center. They currently have both the 130 and 129F in process because they have 3 times notified us that they have both the 130 and 129F being worked upon.My boss is actually giving me a bonus $$ so I will be able to travel and spend 2 weeks blissfully with my true love soon. That is SOOOO gonna help us as we wait out the process.
