I left the UK to give my kids a better life, my husband and I had jobs before we came to Canada.....and I made that comment because in the UK at least the foreign workers who were there legally got...

You need to get over yourself!!!!.... we've applied for our work permit to be extended to get our PR so we didn't just come over to Canada to just live here TEMPORARILY!!!

You seems to have a chip on your shoulder...why are TWP any different from the PR's... we all came to Canada for one reason, to live and work here... I felt depressed but now I'm just pissed off with...

Unfortunately three weeks...we applied for WP extension but he got laid off before it went through, but then we're not sure if it did go through in time cos our immigration consultant didn't tell us...

can we still apply for PR?..we didn't know that we could apply for it even tho we've been...

Yeah he's applying for a job as a windshield fitter as well as truck driving, bus driving and for more cabinet makers jobs... he applied for a cabinetmaker job and the owner of the furniture company...

I also read that they were closing the gates for anyone to apply to come to Canada soon so if we go back to England we're gonna have hell returning back here

Thanks for your advice :)but I feel that if we gave up now then we just wasted two years of our life and our children lives to give up our house to go back to living on the 'dole' in England cos that...

He's trying for carpentry work as well...he's been a bus driver for 3yrs in the UK and has his class 1 HG licence as well, but the truck companies want 5 yrs or more UK driving experience to get a...

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to do that, apply for a student visa so he can get a open work permit...thanks for that

We're going to see our immigration consultant tomorrow to see if he can do...

It was the locked in work permit with the employer for the length of the contract, I had and still have an open WP until it expires...My husband worked in Calgary, AB as a Cabinetmaker

We applied for the PNP program and was turned down due to the employers giving the wrong info so we were advised by our immigration consultant to apply for the Canadian experience class and then...

We weren't told of the risk buying a home while on TWP ...they weren't fussy about taking our deposit and giving us a mortgage tho !!! MY husband and I are both in our mid 40's with 2 teenagers and...
