I handed in my application for work permit and residence on monday lastweek and by thursday I had my passport sent back with the work permit stamped in it!!!! Amazingly quick turn...

Limited medical is a shorter and cheaper form of a normal mecical cert. You can only apply for that if you have lived with your spouse for 12months or more in a stable relationship.

I've just found out I will need the "Limited Medical"

Sysmonds medical say they can do it for $180 including the xray. I am just waiting to hear back from them inregards to if they are using the...

Christchurch prices are not fixed but its in the region of 447 - 460

I landed in Christchurch on the 15th.... Good to be back with the wifey!!

Due to my looking much fatter in my passport picutre then in person they had to go through all my bags...

Your rite Chch is cold, I get scared looking at the weather sometimes... thought Dunedin was really cold but not that much compared to Chch. I wish nz had central heating!!!!

You may be rite, Dunedin is totally different from Chch and it does help alot having friends. I will be going to Chch in a week or so with only positives. Are you from Chch?
