Does anyone know when the last day to send cards in time for Christmas is/was - hope I haven't missed it :unsure:

I just want to say that I'm COLD COLD COLD!!!

Living room's at it's highest temp of the day now at 15 degrees (at 11pm) that's with the calor gas heater on all day, plus an electric convector...

Well, of course, we had it tough. We used to 'ave to get up out of shoebox at twelve o'clock at night and lick road clean wit' tongue. We had two bits of cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day...

Yes - but when I used to go back it was to a flat with fitted carpets and underfloor heating and all the shops, bars & restaurants were heated - not like the fffreezing buildings with cold tiled...

Yes, a touch warmer here too today - not so windy. However, I'm just off to put my thermal PJs on ready for an evening's telly watching (made a nice, hot curry too to warm me up :) )

Well - the wind's whipping down from the mountain as I speak. It IS warmer outside but I have to use the computer inside - maybe I should just go for a walk to warm up!

A crowd of us meet up in a local bar every Monday evening and last week everyone was in long trousers and winter woollies - apart from a couple of tourists in their shorts :)

Yes - we normally stock up with goodies from the huge Tesco just outside Portsmouth. On the Pride of Bilbao it was a 2 night journey so it was a bit of a problem keeping the stuff fresh. He hasn't...

Yep - that's what I just figured out using that excellent Michelin guide - he's all booked in now with a cabin so he can have a good night's sleep, as it'll mean an early start to get to Portsmouth...
