In our experience, we just handed over what we were able to collect from the previous employers. The requirements for documents seem very demanding, in fact if your documents do not satisfy the visa...

What does 'grant' mean? when the visa label is pasted on the passport? via local Autralian embassy?

I got CO on April 7, but the status of all documents except for medicals is stil in REQUIRED.

Dependents under 16( or 18, forgot the exact limit )years old are not required for police clearance.

Sorry for misunderstanding.

I would suggest you first lodge your application using the current passport, you can submit your new passport later on as soon as you get it.
