Have to agree with MillieF....the sizing Imperial/metric here is a nightmare...but hubby uses it as a valid reason to buy more tools!

We put our belongings in a 20ft container with Upakweship.

Hubby had to leave behind a few 240v items (workmates did well that day!)
otherwise we listed everything as person/household.

We are in Alberta and have found a majority of the things we need, but what stands out the most here is the cost of Electrical 'stuff'.
Cable, breakers etc are pricey compared to the UK!

it took 29 weeks!

There is WES...who may be quicker, check online.

We shopped around for a company to do all the donkey work...it blew our budget!
So we started packing, made a list as we went along (ie:box of childrens toys x4, box of bed linen x2 etc)

In 2016 he was laid-off twice and considering the LMIA is $1000, we can understand some employers reluctance.

We were in 'the pool' and had an invite but due to the lay off it...

Hubby interviewed with an Alberta company, they had to apply for permission to employ a foreign worker.

Have a look at Upakweship...we used them to get our house content to Northern Alberta...20ft seacan, packed everything except cars! all in cost less than $5k
