Excellent journey from Taunton to El Almendro, Huelva today. Everything ran to time, all connections worked as planned.

Didn't need to queue at EasyJet check in at Bristol as only had hand...

On an early Squeezyjet from Bristol to Faro 7 hours from now. Bus to Faro railway station, train to Vila Real and Spanish neighbour picking us up for drive to El Almendro, 40km North of Ayamonte.

Seems to be a grey area. gov.uk recommends contacting the embassy for the country you intend driving in for clarification. An IDP may be needed, two different ones to drive in PT and ES.

UK residents with photocard driving licences issued in the UK do not need an IDP to drive anywhere in the EU. (as advised on gov.uk)

We crossed the bridge many times during October with no issues. The A22 is free to use as far as the Monte Gordo turn-off, two junctions from the bridge.

I email or call in to our local CHC Energia office in Villanueva de Los Castillejos. I understand some suppliers allow potencia adjustments to be selected on the account pages of their websites.

48 hours from when you actually do the test. You have to declare time of test when uploading your result photo and should upload photo as soon as test is done. Not sure what happens if flight is...

Yes, to enter PT as an EU non-resident you must be double-jabbed and have a fresh negative Covid test. This applies to all arrivals, whether by air, sea, rail or road.

I suspect 'transit' refers solely to airport transit where you have a connecting flight leaving the same airport within 48 hours.

I would be inclined to obtain a written assurance from the Embassy...
