We had our 176 SS visa granted today after changing from a 175!!!

Cant Believe it!! After 11 months since lodgement and all the ups and downs we finaly get the golden ticket!

Hi All

Electrician Special Class

Applied Qsld SS 19/3/09...Granted Qsld SS 18/6/09..

Qsld sent form 1100 to DIAC 1/7/09..

DIAC approved SS and changed our visa type to 176 SS from 175...

As cheryl says they will not except house valuations now!!!

Lucky for me i was made redundant in March and then got a job straight away....

I was requested proof of savings even...

Got an email this morning at 5.55am from our case officer in Qsld...

OUR QSLD SS HAS BEEN APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!:thumbsup:

Electrician here, applied 28th August 08 and like the many trying to change to 176 SS..

Qsld got my SS application 24/3/09 so nearly 8 weeks now..

Fingers crossed it wont be much...

My SS application was sent 19/3/09 and received 24/3/09..

Got email receipting application and giving file number 26/3..8-10 week processing time...

I think you'll find other ppl in...

Hi

once you get SS then yes this is 10 points towards your total which means you can submit your 176 visa application.

Do your skills assessment, then apply for SS and then submit your 176..

We did our meds in Huddersfield...

Fees were..

£368 (2 Adults and 2 Children under 11).

£56 per Xray.

£15 per blood test.
