Re: The Brisbane roller coaster.

Rag62, have you looked into renewing your Residents Return Visa. From what I understand you need to have been in Australia 2 years before they will issue a new one. So from Sept 10 to Sept 11 you...

Re: This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about Aussies...do you feel the sam

Yes it is too generalisations that I have observed about Scottish and Australians it doesn't mean it applies to every individual. Just like the irrational Scottish dislike for the English.

Re: This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about Aussies...do you feel the sam

Exactly, it is from ignorance and it is the same everywhere. I was once driving through the US and chatting to some locals and without a word of lie they thought England was in London and had never...

Re: nice suburbs in western australia

Freemantle looks quite an interesting place with a bit of street life and old buildings etc. One thing that got me about south of Perth Mandurah was the wind I was there in October, a couple of...

DH, go back to 4:34 post and reread without the false notion that it was written with you in mind, but then ironically your subsequent reaction does seem to confirm the hypothesis.

The Australians express an over bearing pride in their country the Scottish have an over bearing pride in some false notion that they are something special.

Re: UK House Prices to drop another 55%..

http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/graphs-average-house-price.php

I think this graph gives a good indication of where prices are headed.

In the last down turn there was a 38% drop from peak to...

Re: Job - what would you do?

It is a case of the devil you know and the devil you don't. If you move you can guarantee there will also be frustrations with politics.

If you can handle the politics in your current job and it...

Re: House Swap???????

Don't flatter yourself and if you don't want people to read and reply then don't post on a public forum. I never knew there was a time limit on browsing or replying to the forums.

Re: New Car Deals?

Re: New Car Deals?

This house was bought for 240k in 2005 when the average house prices were 175k now average prices are 153k it seems that overs over 259k is a tad optimistic. There are two chances to sell OO 259k one...
