Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Good news, I have once again taken to writing my stories, I had a flood of ideas on Thursday night and I managed to finish a story off in two hours!!!
Writing stories does help me keep my mind...

Re: Had Enough...

I've done it twice, on our England visit in 2006 my passport had expired by six months, and my sister's passport expired one month before our flight this year. You can enter the UK on an expired...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Ok, I've decided there's only one thing for it. I will talk to Mum, Dad and Kimberley, and ask them "What would persuade 'you' to move back to England?" Then I'll take the results, compare and...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

As said, I'm getting frustrated.
I had a vision last night that we all moved back to Hertfordshire. We lived in a nice big house, Dad had a job which he enjoyed (Don't ask what, I tried to ask but...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

I am getting extremely frustrated now. Whenever I think of the new trains I bought in England this summer, the subject that I cannot run them comes to mind. Firstly I have nowhere to put it, I do not...

Re: UK - Underrated Kingdom?

Boom! That's what I like to hear! I'm in 100% support of backagen and Bevm. I was wondering why there seems to be no celebration of being british. I know St. George's day is when all the churches fly...

My Old post: Edited by Dad

After a little talk with Dad. I have realized that I have exaggerated quite a bit unfairly on my situation. Dad has helped me to identify and modify these points so they are more accurate.

Old...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

I'm going into an outburst very like Cluny the Scourge!!! I need solutions! I absolutely HAVE to return to England, otherwise I am going to explode. I need something to help me. I'm going to write a...

Re: UK - Underrated Kingdom?

Exactly. My parents think all of England is "going to pot", basically because house prices are falling and that most things are more expensive there than in BC. But I see different. Heinz Spaghetti...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

I don't care about anything anymore. All I care about is returning to England. I can't think of anything else, and if Dad can't pay for me, then I'll pay for myself! Even if it means working at...

Re: Home! Erm... where did the last 5 months go?

You're so lucky! I'm still pining to return the UK, and the only way I'm going to be able to do it is either wait another nine months for the summer to come around or wait another twenty months for...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Ok. I've just remembered something that my Dad told me about way back two years ago when I came home in this depressed state before. He said he'd allow me to go on an exchange trip to England and...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Maybe an exchange trip will work? If I am going to do an exchange trip, it will have to be this year, as this will be my last year in school if I were in England, but I still have another year ahead...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Jerseygirl, unfortunately I have been out of the UK for four years now, and it's still adding up as each minute goes by. I would love to go to university/college in England somewhere, but I don't...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Unfortunately I believe yesterday's good news has dwindled to nothing already. None of my family show an inkling of desire to move back to our homeland. Apparently we don't have the money for the...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Not when the bedrooms are no bigger than 13' by 11'. For a good layout, a bedroom needs to be at least 20' by 16'

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Bingo! I've talked to Dad about this, and he says: "If I can find a way to support all of us, find a good location and a good house, we may move back. Of course, that means all three of us (Me, Mum...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

I know. But if I tell my parents the same thing over and over again, they'll just give me a lecture on how lucky I am and how many people would love to be here. I know that! But I don't feel lucky at...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

If I could go home, I would. But I can't. My model railway is suffering here from the lack of use and also from having two dining chairs sitting on top of it! (It was set up around the dinner table,...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

I know it's not an easy situation to be in. At first in 2004, I was excited. I was going to explore a whole new type of territory, but when I got here, I did feel slightly homesick, only for a day or...

Re: Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Thank you all for the kind replies. I'm feeling a little better now, but I still feel homesick. My uncle (whom we stayed with in England) feels the same way as I do. There are still parts of my own...

Re: to sum up...why do so many return from Oz ?

I'm sixteen in two weeks time. I love Ware. I'm a trainspotter, and Ware has a branch line -> Main line link station. Perfect for me.
However, Dad thinks it's too crowded and too rough. I've tried...

Stranded, struggling, and unhappy.

Hey. I've just joined here. Since Saturday night, I've been feeling very depressed. I've just left from a seven week holiday in England to return to the West Coast of Canada. I miss my home, my...

Re: to sum up...why do so many return from Oz ?

I have this same problem. I immigrated to Canada four years ago, with my Mum, Dad and sister, but two years down the line, I went back to visit relatives for six weeks, and I entered a state of...
