he can go to any he wants, with career winnings of almost $21,000,000, wish I had that sort of money, then I wouldn't care a sh*t what anyone else thought of me.

I was going to write an erudite repost against Anyone But Murray posts, but I can't be bothered - you're pathetic and should really be ashamed.

Congrats Murray for your first ever set in a major final.

Have to say though, the 3rd and 4th sets were the Fed of old. Some of his shotmaking was breathtaking.

Agree 100% - much as I wear my heart on my sleeve - Fed's shots in the latter sets were stunning and match winning. And the better player did win.

Anyway, he is a really good, solid 4th best. Nought wrong with that, but the gap between 1-3 is nothing, but the gap between 3-4 is massive.
He got a set today, so that's his best slam result yet and he's still young, so in with a chance in the future to nab it, what with there not really anyone else clamoring to replace the top 3 and RF getting on a bit, leaving only the other two to worry about and hopefully getting a decent draw that works for him like this years Wimbledon draw and he's bound to get a slam.

The roof closing helped Fed. He hasn't lost indoors since 2010. Have to see the positives here...he won a set and could and should have won the second. It's progress from losing his previous 3 GS finals 3-0.
And as Auto says, the ABMs are pathetic haters.

He did well to win the first set.
He did, however, fall back into the trap of getting emotional. He had avoided it all tournament, but couldn't keep it all in check for the final.
Shame, he played well but Federer just stepped it up when he needed to.
Was slightly embarrassing when Sue Barker asked Roger a few questions about Murray before asking about him and winning his 7th Wimbledon.

Embarrassing...

Embarrassing? I beg to differ. Despite not being a tennis fan, it was an exciting game and I think Murray acquitted himself well. He wasn't a walkover and Federer is a phenomenal player.
I think the tears showed just how much it meant to him and was rather endearing.

How much had you drunk by that stage in order to come up with that conclusion? You weren't also telling the person next to you that you loved him/her and that he/she was your best friend in all the world, were you?
