Ah........... I'm obviously reading too much into it - I assumed a 'ham' for a Jewish festival was the point of the joke.

Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to get serious about saving and clearing up the little bit of debt I have.

First things first, I'm going back to making my own lunches. But rather than make them in the morning, I've been going across the road to Waitrose and buying everything at the beginning of the week.

This week's lunches have so far consisted of:

Wholemeal bread (the small ones).
Three slices of smoked ham.
About 20-30g of Branston Pickle.
Iceberg lettuce.

And as a treat, a small galaxy chocolate bar.

With water to wash it all down.

Should mean a difference of 600-odd dibs by the end of the month.
