As I said to Milhouse, altitude does not apply in this instance. Here the primary distance from the Nike world headquarters most likely was a factor. That and the U Of Oregon is the premier track college in the US where top athletes from many nations train.

I think that Rupp's medal in the 10k was a surprise bonus. Did you see him screaming "Mo!" as he crossed the line? He did his bit in the 5k also by blocking at Mo's shoulder just as they went into the last km and Mo was about to take off. In both races, anyway, the Ethiopians and Kenyans seemed so intent on cancelling each other out with daft tactics that they handed it to Farah. Almost like they were following a script...

It's that magic ingredient for British success............ Preparation? Training programme? Dedication? Correct nutrition and dietary regime? Coaching? No....................... it's your date of birth:

Sir Roger Bannister, Jason Kenny, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Chris Hoy and Mo Farah all share the same birthday........... March 23rd.

Really? WOW. start training for conception dates in August. While it may sound a little Germanic it will pay off big time in 20 years.

Together with Akira Kurosawa, Chaka Khan, John Waybe Bobbitt and Carl Pickens. Must admit the sporting bunch is a weird coincidence.
