Shooting though, which doesn't require any running around. Pregnancy isn't an illness

At eight months, will she be fit to fly home afterwards? I though you generally weren't permitted to fly at that stage, presumably in case you go into early labour mid air.

.... which the drop in air pressure makes more likely.............

The legendary Fanny Blankers-Coen was, if my memory serves me, pregnant while winning those sprinting medals in 1948......

It's that 'controversial' Channel 4 Paralympics ad in full...........

[It's a brilliant ad but the 'real world' bit at 0.45 has ruffled lots of feathers, apparently]

great ad dean- it always absolutely humbles me to watch the paralympics. It really does show that we can achieve so much against the odds :-)

The missus has been tasked with organising a stiletto race for work, for their regions money raising event.

There is some irony in a bunch of people trying to run around in high heels, for the paras

We're out Friday night so will download it to watch on Saturday. Better that way as you can fast forward the boring bits!

Don't you want to watch what director Danny 'Trainspotting' Boyle is going to do with his 'farmyard animals' theme?

Boys and girls - these Olympic channels on OSN are seriously excellent - just watched a superb documentary on the history of the Olympic marathon.

Suitably reverential references to the late great Abebe Bikila (winner 1960 and 1964 running barefoot) and Samuel Wanjiru (winner 2008) whose death last year at 24 is still being investigated...........

And with matches in Glasgow...but it's because the footie takes longer than time would allow, with rest days between...apparently.

That and a string of retweets of weird, racist political folks and the like.

Seems very daft of her.

Oh and there's already apparently been a claim for asylum from one athlete.

Depends whether it was the Scots controlling the displays or LOCOG.

Apparently they had got the name of the country wrong as well, calling it "North Korea".. when everyone knows it is the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" (well, one out of four ain't bad...)

Cameron on the Olympics and the economy.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/poli...P-figures.html

"...There’s the physical infrastructure that we’ll have forever. If you take the Aquatics Centre… after the Olympics that is going to be used by 800,000 people every year so it’s a great bit of physical legacy..."

No wonder we are in the shit - does he really think 800,000 people per year - over 2,000 people per day - are really going to go swimming?

We can't have many more people going swimming per day in the whole country, let alone in the arse end of London.

I looked up the national aquatic centre in Dublin (same kind of facility) and apparently it had 825,000 people last year. So maybe the figures are not that far off.

I would expect that to be the case in Ireland. However, this is the south of England where most people have showers and baths installed in the home.

But seriously, wow.

Actually the scoreboard says 1-0 but that must be wrong because I saw about six open goals and/or easy chances that Japan cannot possibly have missed....... stupid scoreboard operator......... :frown:

Judging by that match, it isn't - it's just a gentle warm-up training exercise for the coming season.

Still the UAE are about to start against Luis Suarez and the rest of the cheats......
