Can anyone describe to a non-Dubian what Global Village is, in just one sentence? It seems to stimulate interest, but I can't work out whether its one gigantic flea market or Bluewater on a bad day...

its pavillions from different countries selling their wares, some utter shite/some bargains. I would say closer to flea market than Bluewater, but you can get some decent stuff at great prices. It gets rammed busy so if your a guy that doesn't like shopping I'd say avoid- although as a keen photographer you could get some great photos if you can put up with all the people.

Global Village is like a gigantic pound shop selling tat,but more expensive.
All the countries sell more or less the same thing.Clothes from Stacey Slaters market stall,highly flammable underwear,more crap and a few...FEW bits worth buying.
