You quoted me but appear to be asking me if we are thinking of coming back to this ie the current weather? We have been back 18 months and dont regret it for a second. The weather could be better at the moment but I long ago realised that the weather was of little importance overall.
I do agree about Labour, hopefully the recovery keeps going and people are reminded of who got us into the mess we are currently recovering from.

I don't want to get into party political debates because I don't think that's what this site is about, but I just wanted to register my polite and respectful disagreement with just about everything Lothianland said.

Chavs
Chav culture
and people who bleat about their rights but never stand up to their responsibilities (ie Chavs)
Can you tell I don't like Chavs yet?

Yes folks...we shouldn't really get into political arguments. You know how it goes, you come along and lay blame for all the UK's ills on one side...but many others may disagree...and then what?
Things are never that black and white for the whole of the country. Regardless of the Party, policies that favoured one part of the country may have devastated another part.

Eastern European immigrants who think that pavements are cycling tracks for their exclusive use and at night ride their bikes without any lights whether on pavements or on the roadway itself....pedestrians are a hindrance to them. They "claim" that they feel safer using the pavements because we in the UK drive our vehicles on the "wrong" side of the road...according to them.
Cyclists in London, in particular, genuinely believe that traffic lights do not apply to them so a red light means absolutely nothing to them - they go whizzing past them at will.....which may well be one of the reasons why so many cyclists in London have, sadly, been killed in accidents in recent months.
So called "Special Offers" in supermarkets which are actually cons......price fixing actually means that you pay more than you would do otherwise in the long run, but so many people fall for them - unwittingly.

I'm really disappointed about the poo poo trees. Four whole weeks travelling round the UK and I never saw ONE
Even when we took my niece;s dog for a walk there was no poo poo tree - she just used a plastic bag to pick up the deposits left by said small dog, and put it in a nice little dog-poo bin. She gave me a very strange look when I asked if she was going to fling it up into a tree!

The amount of drinking amongst teenagers. Why can't they be more sociable without the huge amounts of alcohol?
Here in S.America they drink 'mate' (type of tea), drink conservatively in comparison, eat and chat.
